Idaho Part 1 (Fair)

On Thursday, September 6th we flew to Idaho Falls, for Keshia's wedding.  We didn't want the whole weekend to be taken up by the wedding so we decided to go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair.  The fair was something that Ryan and I both enjoyed when we were younger and it was fun to take our kids to experience something that we did.  We were joined by the Jensen Family (Clay, Karen, Lanie, and Grandma. Later Penny, Denisse, and the kids came).  We decided to walk through the booths and see the animals first...

We were walking through the cows and this sweet little girl asked Christopher if he wanted to pet the baby calf.  It was her Grandfather's.  Christopher was in HEAVEN!

Nathanial had to pet it too
I am raising a bunch of city kids!

Grand Champion
Look how HUGE the Clydesdale horses are compared to the boys!
We walked through the the miniature horse area and the pony area and Emily wasn't really interested, but when we started to walk past the "real" horses she couldn't contain her excitement.
I made the comment to Ryan that Emily doesn't want a pony she wants a horse!
I love to go to the fair to see other peoples ideas and to get a few of mine...
Look at the cute bird houses made from the #10 cans
This one is for Kimberly
Penny and I thought of Jana and Rob when we saw it.
I love this little wood carving
After we finished looking at all the buildings we headed over to the rides.  Clay was nice enough to buy the kids tickets to ride some of the rides.
