Block Party

On Saturday July 30th we had our annual Meadowbrook Block Party.  The road was closed from 10 AM to 9 PM so that the kids could ride their bikes and so they could set up in the street for all the festivities.

All in a row, Nathanial was enjoying playing with all the girls :)

Eating our lunch.
Slip-n-slide

There was a "Corn Hole" tournament.  Ryan (who has played a few times) and our neighbor Paul (who has never played) were partners.

During the blcok party I only had Emily when she was hungry the rest of the time she was passed from one "grandma" to the next.
Emily and Sherry, who lives across the street from us.

And the "Corn Hole" continues.  All you have to do for Corn Hole is throw bean bag like bags into holes on the board or make it land on the board to receive points. If you want more details you can click here.
Ryan and Paul played Kate and her husband in Round 2: WIN!
Ryan and Paul Round 2:WIN!
The first team to 21 wins
The Score: Ryan and Paul: 8 other team 19.
It is a nail biter!
Ryan and Paul came from behind to score 13 points to win!

The Championship Round players with their alcohol (all except Ryan) :)
Ryan is the only one not drinking!
There were several musical instruments that were available for the kids to play, Nathanial chose the largest drum.

The Championship Round...

I am afraid to announce that Ryan and Paul lost the Championship. Their team was called "the Swan House" because Paul's house used to have very strange people living there that had a huge fake swan hanging over the front porch.
Still drumming
Christopher wanting to play the drums too.

All the kids playing the drums.  I was advised to buy Nathanial a drum, I am not sure about that.

Go Nathanial!
It was a fun day filled with friends and laughter!  It was nice to sit and talk with all the ladies and not worry about where the kids were.  We have a great neighborhood!
