Birthday Weekend

I celebrated my 25th birthday on Friday April 1st!  It was pretty low key, but that is how I wanted it.  I dropped the kids off at a friends house and headed to the dental school for Ryan to clean my teeth.  This is the second time that he has done it and this time was MUCH better!  After he cleaned my teeth we picked up the boys and headed to Red Robin.  Red Robin seems to have become the birthday dinner tradition in our family.  After dinner we headed home to meet with our friends the Graves' and Brannan's for cake.  I didn't take any pictures, sorry.

On Saturday we woke up early to head to Maryland/Virginia for a quick visit.  We met up with our good friends the Brandt's.  By the time that we got there the boys were ready to be out of the car.  We met them at Catherine's brother's house.  Joey and Angela have two boys 4 and 2 and our boys enjoyed having someone to play with and I enjoyed talking while they played :) I don't think that we had long enough to visit with them.  Catherine is expecting a baby girl and is due on April 24th.

After we said our goodbyes to the Brandt's we headed to Virginia to meet up with Scott and Denisse and the main reason why we came: Grandma Jensen and Aunt Penny were visiting from Idaho.  Since Scott's birthday is March 31st and mine is April 1st and Penny's is April 9th Grandma wanted to take us out to dinner.  The Cheesecake Factory was chosen as the place.  Ryan and I were there first so we went in to get a table, we were told that it would be 3 hours for our party of 10 to be seated! We decided to try a different place.  While we were at the Cheesecake factory we saw this HUGE crane.  I couldn't even get the entire crane in the picture.  The boys thought is was cool and wanted their pictures taken with it...4/2/2011
We opted for a Mexican restaurant for dinner, Christopher was in heaven with the sour cream...
Nathanial was happy with a knife and fork...
We were seated by a fountain and all throughout dinner Nathanial and Christopher kept asking to throw a penny in.  So after dinner that is what we did...
We stayed the night at Scott and Denisse's house on an air mattress (not the most comfortable place to sleep when you are 34 weeks pregnant.  We had lots of fun playing on Sunday morning...4/3/2011

Scott was quite the entertainer with his juggling skills.  I guess if medical school doesn't work out he can always join the circus...

The kids kept bringing Scott all sorts of stuffed animals for him to try and juggle...

Christopher was cute and mischievous as always...

 Christopher was copying Scott...

Nathanial was being so good during Conference.  I am very proud of my boys and how well they sat and listened!
Our original plan was to leave by noon but we opted to stay and listen to the Sunday morning session of conference.  We left just after it was over.  I wish that we could have stayed and had lunch/dinner but we needed to get home and get some things done for Monday.  It smelt really good!
It was a quick but fun trip! I enjoyed seeing the Brandt's and Grandma and Penny and the boys enjoyed playing with their cousins!  It doesn't matter how long it has been since we saw them last they seem to pick up right where they left off.
