When we first moved here everyone was telling us about "Country Lights" and that is was an event that we couldn't miss. It is a farm type place that is converted into Santa's workshop. This year I was able to get us tickets for Ryan's birthday, December 10th. Once again we told the boys that we were going to the North Pole and that they would be able to make a toy in Santa's Workshop. We told them that we had to drive there and that we would go through the magic portal to the North Pole. Luckily, we have never taken our kids to Lakefarm Park so they believed us.
We went for a horse drawn carriage ride. |
All throughout the ride there were different light displays...
Jack and the Beanstalk |
Nathanial called this the magic portal to Santa's workshop...
The boys were trying to get Emily to hurry, they couldn't wait |

Once we were inside the workshop the boys chose the toy that they wanted to build and paint. Nathanial chose an Angry Bird and Christopher chose a polar bear.
Christopher drilled and hammered |

While we were in the workshop painting Santa made a surprise visit...
Frosty the Snowman |
It just wouldn't be the North Pole without visiting Santa...
Emily really liked all the gingerbread cutouts. |
They also had a room filled with mini-trains...

After the trains we headed over to see the cows...
I think Emily showed the most excitement |

It was a fun family adventure and I am glad to say that Nathanial once again believes in Santa!
