Kids Say...

Nathanial has been saying some funny things lately. Here are a few of the ones that we have wrote down:

2-23-2011
There has been a little bug going through our family this month and Nathanial ended up with an ear infection.  Ryan and I had been telling him how sorry we were that he wasn't feeling very well.  One night when he wasn't feeling very good he looks at me with sad eyes and says, "Mommy will tell me that you are sorry that I am sick"

2-26-2011
After Nathanial sneezed he said, "Bless you, myself"

Christopher has been improving on his speech, I would say that he is about 50% understandable to others and about 95% understandable to me.  We are thinking of starting him back in speech therapy again but we will wait and see on that.  He has been saying some really funny things also.

March 4, 2011
Ryan and I were sitting on the couch next to each other while our family was watching a movie.  Christopher gets off the couch and walks over to me and asks for something (I can't remember what he wanted).  I told him "no".  He took a step over to stand in front of Ryan and asked him for the same thing.  I looked at Christopher and asked him, "what did Mommy just say?" He looks back at me and says, "don't tell me I ask daddy".  He then asked Ryan again.
Christopher knows who to ask for things in our family.  Ryan gives in to his sweet little smile and innocent looks.  I know the real child behind that smile! It is a good thing that he is so cute!

February 2011

I am finally getting around to post about February! Even though February is only 2-3 days shorter than the rest of the months it seems to go by a lot faster.  If I had to describe this month with one word it would be: SNOW!! We have had several snowstorms this month.

On Saturday February 5th Ryan took the boys out to play in the snow...
After playing in the snow they came inside to have fresh warm cookies and hot chocolate...
On Sunday Feb. 6th Nathanial was a little bored after church and his nap and asked me if he could vacuum the rug, I told him that we try not to vacuum on Sundays but if he wanted to he could go and do the dishes, so he did...
If you remember back in November we finished the boys' bunk beds but here is how they sleep (until we put them back in their beds).  One of them will fall asleep on our bedroom floor and one on their own floor...
Nathanial has become quite the little helper around the house lately.  His favorite "chore" is vacuuming...
For FHE the last few weeks for our activity we have been painting pictures to hang up on baby sister's wall.  The boys are very excited to paint and to have their art work displayed on the wall. We started off with brown and the next time was green and last is pink...
These are the Valentine's that I made for all my preschoolers...
The boys love to play with bubbles after doing dishes...
Valentine's Day was a pretty low key event at our house.  I had a "GRAND" scheme for dinner and how it should all go... I should know that things NEVER work out the way that I plan.  The boys were going to have dinner and a sleepover in the basement while Ryan and I make a gourmet seafood meal.  I planned and planned and planned and then I bought everything that we needed.  The boys were going to have mac-n-cheese while Ryan and I were going to have lobster and crab.  It was an interesting night to say the least.
Here are the boys enjoying their dinner...
After dinner we set up a tent and TV for the boys to watch a movie...
While the boys were enjoying the TV Ryan and I were enjoying some crab/lobster stuffed mushrooms! YUM!!
While Ryan and I were eating we had a visitor, how do you say no to such a cute little guy?
Ryan and I put in a movie in the living room to watch and Christopher came up stairs once again looking like this...
Can you see all the hand prints on the mirror?
Nathanial was being a naughty little boy and got sent to bed early in his room, this is where we found him...
Ryan and I were playing around taking pictures...
Christopher didn't want to be left out of the fun...
More picture of Ryan and I...

Happy Valentine's Day!!
Ryan enjoyed his first snow day since being in college on Friday, February 25th!  It was nice to have him stay home with us for the day and to spend the day lounging around the house.  We ended up with about 18 inches of snow, along with winds.  I also canceled preschool for the day.  I guess that CASE rarely cancels school and the last time that it was canceled was 6 or so years ago. We are not planning on it happening again but it was fun to have an unplanned day with Ryan.
